(Fort Washakie, Wyo.) – Wesley Quiver Sr., age 56, passed away Saturday, February 16, 2013 at the family residence following a lengthy illness. He was born September 14, 1956 in Lander, WY the son of the late Ruben Quiver and Marlene Noseep Quiver.
He resided on the Wind River Indian Reservation. He attended schools at Ft. Washakie, Mission, SD, Riverside, OK, and Intermountain Indian School. He was an electrician before his illness. He enjoyed going to the casino, football and was a fan of the Denver Broncos, softball, going to basketball games and being around his grandchildren, family and friends.
He is survived by wife; Becky Sage Quiver, daughters, Mardell C’Bearing, Keta and Justine Quiver, Reninette Tendore and Tiffany Day, sons; Keith, Derick, Wesley Jr. and Ruben Quiver, Clayton WallowingBull, Rex Curry and Ridin Fred and Wallace Day, sisters; Cleo Goggles, Lois, Marliss and Victoria Quiver, Marcelia Redman, Orlena and Zola Kills On Top and Ruby Whiteplume, brothers; Donnie, Mike, Herman, Lyle and Deland Quiver and Allen Jenkins Sr., 24 grandchildren, step mother Theresa Marie Wells, aunts; Mary Alice Addison, Julia Whiteman, Irenice and Anna Noseep, Laverne Hutchison, Alrita Talks Different, Tilly Jenkins and Rowena and Judy Day, uncles; Mathew and Willard Noseep, Marlin, Harvey, Terry and Theron Spoonhunter and numerous nieces, nephews can cousins.
He was preceded in death by nephew; Theron Quiver, niece; Alva Quiver, sister; Linda Lou Quiver, grandparents; Virginia and Harry Noseep, Nickerson and Alice Quiver, George and Alberta Quiver, aunts; Louella Dixson, Elsie Day and Ruth Noseep, uncles; Dansel, Leslie and Leno Noseep and Ameid, Edlore and Alvin Quiver.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 19th at 10:00 AM at Blue Sky Hall with Bishop Kenner officiating. Evening service will be held Monday, February 18 th from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Blue Sky Hall with a Wake to follow at the Becky Sage Quiver residence, #415 Blue Sky Highway. Interment will be in Yellow Calf Cemetery at Ethete with Military Rites.
